November 7, 2024 - Louisville, KY – Kinectrics Inc, a leading provider of PPE testing and overhead line inspection services, recently held a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially open its Louisville, KY location.
Our new, state-of-the-art facility will offer additional services for qualifying high-capacity conductors and accessories to increase the capacity of the US transmission network. The facility will also provide expanded industry leading PPE services in the United States and act as a research and development center for PPE testing. By integrating these complimentary services, Kinectrics will be able to improve customers’ business by offering a reliable, local option for support and deliver cross-support opportunities.
This expansion will bolster Kinectrics’ existing high-current laboratory testing for arc testing on fabrics, gloves, blankets and various PPE, while other portions of the facility will provide overhead line testing services for conductors, connectors, and other transmission line components.
In addition to the diverse array of in-lab capabilities offered within the facility, this location will also act as a hub to offer a wide-range of in-field inspection services, including the LineVue® device. This innovative inspection unit is installed on energized, overhead lines and travels the length of the conductor to accurately assess its condition. Having this real-time information enables utilities to optimize the performance of overhead lines, strengthening the grid and ensures consistent, reliable power is made available across the US for decades to come.
