November 13, 2024 - Cernavodă, Romania – Kinectrics, a global provider of nuclear lifecycle services, held a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially open its new facility situated just minutes away from the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant (C-NPP).
This new facility will serve as an engineering hub to better support the nuclear industry's growing needs and will expand to include laboratories and storage facilities in late 2026. Staffed with leading CANDU technical experts in Cernavodă and Bucharest, our team of over 50 people are committed to serving the region and ensuring long-term growth.
The regional presence in Cernavodă will drive further advancements for nuclear energy in Romania and contribute to the efficient and safe operation of C-NPP. Kinectrics will support clients at each stage of the nuclear lifecycle and this local office will provide solutions in safety and licensing, engineering and design, project management, fitness-for-service and forensics. From this new engineering and laboratory base, we can play a crucial role in the long-term strategy to enhance operational capabilities within the Romanian nuclear industry.
This new location will enable Kinectrics to strengthen its working relationship with Cernavodă C-NPP and other clients in the nuclear industry. Kinectrics aims to support the local economy and invest in the community to build a robust energy sector.
