Toronto, Canada – Senior technical personnel and managers from a number of Kinectrics departments will play key roles in the upcoming 11th International Conference on CANDU® Maintenance and Nuclear Components conference (CMNCC).

Ruth Burany, Ph.D., P. Eng. and Paul Spekkens, Ph.D. are active participants on the CMNCC organizing committee—Ruth Burany on the Plenary and Sponsorship & Exhibit committees with Paul Spekkens an advisor on the Plenary Committee. Burany is also a member of the sub-committee organizing the NAYGN/WIN “Mix and Mingle” on Sunday.

Maria-Lynn Komar , Ph.D., P. Eng., from the Kinectrics Materials and Major Components Group is an invited instructor for part of the CANDU® course offered prior to the conference.

Additional staff from Kinectrics will join the plenary session entitled, “Proactively Managing Obsolescence”, which takes place on Wednesday October 4th. The session Chair will be John D’Angelo, Vice President, Engineering and General Manager, Kinectrics Nuclear Products and Engineered Services, along with co-chair Emma Hauch, M.A. Sc., P. Eng. a Kinectrics Department Manager. Senior Project Manager, Peter McLean, CET, has also been invited to speak at the Wednesday session, on the topics of Commercial Grade Dedication and reverse engineering.

The CMNCC will take place on October 1-4, 2017 at the Toronto Marriott Downtown Eaton Centre Hotel. The theme of the conference is “Providing Clean Energy through CANDU Life Extension”.
