Chagrin Falls, USA – Kinectrics now offers digital data-driven trip units qualified for nuclear safety-related applications.

The AC-PRO-II®, manufactured by Utility Relay Company (URC), is designed to intelligently monitor breaker health, protect against unplanned outages—and, unplanned refurbishment costs.

AC-PRO-II®, available from Kinectrics as a safety-qualified part, or non-safety related part, for nuclear fleets is already well represented and respected in the commercial sector including conventional power plants, oil and gas facilities, heavy industry and U.S. government facilities.

Many trip units currently in use are no longer manufactured or supported by the OEM. The Kinectrics’ initiative in qualifying the URC branded trip units provides effective practical support for nuclear industry customers in safely reducing operating and maintenance costs.

The Utility Relay Company (URC), established in 1995, is a privately held business based in Chagrin Falls, Ohio (southeast of Cleveland). The company focuses on developing and manufacturing quality protection products for the low voltage breaker retrofit market.
