Kinectrics is now a member of the Canadian Nuclear Isotope Council (CNIC)

May 07, 2018

Kinectrics is pleased to join the Canadian Nuclear Isotope Council (CNIC). The CNIC is an independent organization whose members include research bodies and companies from the Canadian health sector, and nuclear industry. These members convene to advocate for Canada’s role to be a global leader in the production of the world’s supply of radioisotopes.  In addition to Kinectrics, other members include Bruce Power, Ontario Power Generation, the Canadian Nuclear Association and the Ontario Association of Nuclear Medicine.

Radioisotopes are used in nuclear medicine for single-use medical devices and diagnostic procedures, including nuclear imaging. These radioisotopes are produced at various locations including, Pickering Nuclear Generation Station, McMaster University and Bruce Power.

Kinectrics is committed to supporting Canada’s role to be a world leader in the production of isotopes.
